DELTA state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has appealed to the people of the state to vote for a candidate with credibility and impeccable character as governor in 2023 and not thieves that have given the state a bad name.
Governor Okowa made this appeal at Ughelli township stadium during the governorship campaign rally held at Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area.
According to him, “Deltans did not want a Mace thief as a governor that would bring more disgrace to them.
“They went to Abuja to spoil our name, and despite all the goodies there, they brought bad things to us, brought insecurity to us, they are disuniting Nigeria, they have destroyed our economy, and finally collapsed our education, making our children to be at home for 8 months.
“But in Delta state, they did not sit for 8 months in our four universities, when federal was on strike, we were going to school, because we loved education.
“They are looking at all the bad things they done, the one who went there to represent us, I don’t like speaking about people but he said the only good thing he brought for us is to steal Mace. This is not good at all.
“We know the kind of government that we have and when Sheriff has won the election, love will abide. And not the government that will kill people and chase people away.
“We do not want the kind of governor that will look down on the people because same God that created the governor is same that created the people.
“So governor ought to be humble and discuss with his people and not the arrogant type. PDP want to change the bad governance of the APC.”
